SDOTD 7/24/2007 – IA: Attorney General’s Opinions

Today’s Database of the Day comes to us from Iowa.

Iowa Attorney General Opinions provides a searchable database of opinions 1977 to the present.

It is operated by Westlaw on behalf of the Iowa attorney general and seems to use the Westlaw searching language. Click on the “terms and connectors” and “natural language” links for further instructions.

This database offers the full text of attorney general opinions at no charge and provides hyperlinks to other documents such as statutes and case law. These other links require a credit card to purchase access.

Seems like an interesting public-private experiment. Anyone living in Iowa care to comment on how it works for them?
