Bureau of Consumer Protection, Nevada Telecommunications Service Database – This is great way to find the telecommunications companies operating in Nevada and what services they offer in various locations. You’ll also find links to the FCC, service definitions, long distance rates, a telecom glossary, the Nevada Public Services Commission, and Universal Service information.

NE: Finding Libraries

With a number of articles being written about people turning to libraries in the current economic crisis, today’s State Agency Database Highlight seems especially relevant. Especially if you live or are interested in libraries in Nebraska:

  • Nebraska Library Directory – This directory includes entries for directors and staff of all public, academic, school, special and institutional libraries in Nebraska. Also included are Educational Service Units, Library System staff, library trustees and friends, and Library Commission Board members. The directory is edited as updates are received–usually daily.

While the directory is staff focused, the records have varying amounts of information such as web links to catalogs and library hours. Here is one typical record:
